I am a 68 year old widow. I’m originally from South Carolina, but am presently living most of the year in Berlin, Germany. My husband passed away very suddenly in 2012. My daughter and son-in-law began a ministry to the refugees in Berlin in 2017. They asked me to come with them and we have been here since then.

I began listening to your Wisdom broadcasts on the radio in 2012 and continue to use the resources online now that I am in Germany. I am very thankful for all that is available, as it is a blessing to me daily.

Germany is known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and economic strength. With a population of over 83 million people, it is the most populous country in the European Union. While the majority of Germans identify as Christian, split between Protestantism and Roman Catholicism, a significant portion of the population is unaffiliated with any religion, reflecting a trend of growing secularism.

Here is a prayer guide on how Christians can pray for Germany:

1. Spiritual Awakening: Pray for a spiritual awakening in Germany, where secularism and religious indifference have grown. Ask God to stir the hearts of the people, drawing them to seek Him and experience the life-changing power of the Gospel.
2. Church Growth and Unity: Pray for the growth and revitalization of the Church in Germany. Ask God to strengthen and encourage believers, fostering unity and collaboration.  Pray that the Church would be a light in the community, effectively sharing the love and hope of Christ.
3. Government and Leaders: Pray for Germany's government and leaders, that they would lead with wisdom, integrity, and a heart for justice. Ask God to guide their decisions in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity, and in upholding human rights and religious freedom.
4. Social Issues: Germany faces a range of social issues, including demographic change, immigration, and integration challenges. Pray for wisdom and compassion in addressing these issues, and for God's provision in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in society.
5. Reconciliation and Healing: Germany's history, including the impact of World War II and the Holocaust, profoundly affects its national psyche. Pray for ongoing healing and reconciliation within Germany and other nations. Ask God to bring healing, forgiveness, and peace where there has been hurt and division.
6. Christian Discipleship and Witness: Pray for believers in Germany to grow in their faith and to be bold witnesses for Christ in their communities. Pray for effective discipleship programs and resources that equip Christians to live out their faith in all areas of life, demonstrating Christ's love in both word and deed.
