Sabbath Psalm (A revision of Horatius Bonar’s hymn ‘Here, O My Lord, I See You Face to Face’)
Here, my Lord, would I see You face to face,
Here would I touch and handle things unseen;
Here grasp with firmer hand eternal grace,
And all my weariness upon You lean.
Here would I feed upon that Bread of life,
Here would I drink deep of Redemption’s cup;
Jesus, my Lord, take upon You my woe!
Descend on my spirit to lift me up!
Mine is the sin, but Yours the righteousness!
Mine is the guilt, but Yours the cleansing blood!
Your life—my robe, my refuge, and my peace!
Your love—my anchor through the earthly flood!
